The Port of Liverpool takes new crawler crane
22 March 2021
Briggs Equipment has delivered the new Liebherr crawler crane to Peel Ports, which runs the port.

A new Liebherr crawler crane has been delivered to The Port of Liverpool as part of the ongoing partnership between Briggs Equipment and Peel Ports Group (PPG).
The LTR 1220 crawler crane represents a significant investment by Peel Ports and will deliver key benefits to operations in the heavy lift area of the docks.
The core function of the crane will involve handling their customers’ heavy cargo and the wide variety of goods that arrive each day.
Port of Liverpool port director Phil Hall said: “With their extensive experience, the highly-specialised heavy lift team can turn their hand to any number of unusual lifting operations. The niche offering complements a comprehensive, first class service at the Port of Liverpool, which supports the recent addition of new services and further growth.”
Briggs Equipment’s national accounts manager Tony Worrall added: “By completing this delivery of a cutting-edge crawler crane, we’ve also highlighted the Briggs capability to identify solutions for our customers that fall outside of the traditional materials handling product offering.”
