CILT branches into Benelux

Institute will hold inaugural event in February.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport is launching a new Regional Group within the Benelux area of Europe, which comprises of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

To coincide with this launch, the Group is holding its inaugural event on 8th February 2011 in the Netherlands; with some high profile speakers including Institute Chief Executive, Steve Agg, and Edwin van der Meerendonk, VP European Operations, Walt Disney.

The event will focus on subjects such as:
· How does the Netherlands plan to maintain its pivotal role in European logistics?
· How is the private sector combining with academia to drive logistics innovation?
· What is the substance behind Cross Chain Control Centres?

This event will also serve to provide:
· An introduction to the CILT(UK) in the Benelux region, as an Institute that provides a broad range of services to English-speaking professionals in the UK and Europe.
· An introduction to the Dutch Institute of Advanced Logistics (Dinalog), as a newly formed Institute, to promote research and development in logistics and the supply chain in the Netherlands.
