Better goods protection offered

The UK's soggy Spring and the need for logistics firms to satisfy manufacturers' ever-increasing demand for better protection for their goods has fuelled a rise in enquiries for temporary loading canopies.

Temporary building manufacturer, supplier and installer Spaciotempo UK says it experienced heavy interest in the canopies from logistics and transport managers who visited its stand at the Multimodal freight transport and logistics exhibition.

Scott Jameson, Spaciotempo's director of sales, said: "The cold and wet weather outside the show was a constant reminder of the conditions logistics firms face when ensuring that they keep customers' goods in pristine condition when transporting them.

It was definitely a factor."
