Taste of tenders

Southampton based Meachers Global Logistics teamed up with City College to provide students with a taste of working within the logistics industry. The Company, which has been working with students who are taking their BTEC Business First Diploma, set the group a challenge to complete a tender that needed to be submitted in writing before being pitched to members of their senior management team.

Commenting on the project, Gary Whittle, commercial director of Meachers Global Logistics said: "We have enjoyed working with the students at City College and have been impressed with their enthusiasm and interest in our business; it is a growing challenge to encourage new talent into the industry."
