Lighting the way to energy savings

When CPG Logistics occupied its Gosport facility, the racking aisles and mezzanine floors had 1000+ inefficient light fittings which needed to be replaced. Ecotronic secured the contract and retrofitted the EcoPAK T5 - the company's new range of fluorescent batten fittings incorporating the latest T5 ballast technology from Tridonic ATCO.

The combination of EcoBAY and EcoPAK products with efficient Miro 4 reflectors is claimed to ensure excellent vertical illumination and general illumination characteristics that exceed enhanced capital allowance criteria.

The EcoBAY T5 fluorescent Hi- BAY fittings were trialled against LED lighting but were ultimately chosen for light quality and, more importantly, enhanced light distribution. The new system is reported to have resulted in an energy saving of 80% for lighting and an overall reduction of 40%.
