More efficiency, less fire risk

When office technology provider Ricoh wanted to replace lighting systems in its toner warehouse, it turned to Ecotronic for a solution.

In addition to providing energy savings, the new lighting system was installed in order to increase visibility and to reduce the risk of fires and explosions. The company's insurance assessor had recommended that the sodium lamps were replaced as there had been several fire alarm incidents that were caused by the 25+ year old ballast units breaking down.

The toner warehouse was fitted with EcoBAY 2 x 80W auto sensing fixtures, which improved the quality of lighting and the working environment for Ricoh employees.

A further project has seen the refit of the mould shop and further storage areas with new EcoSTAR 13200 lumen LED lo-bay units.
