World's largest shuttle storage system

International fashion and lifestyle brand, Hugo Boss, has commissioned KNAPP to supply the warehouse automation for its new distribution centre in Filderstadt, Germany. With 400,000 storage locations, the OSR Shuttle system will be the largest system of its kind in the world.

Hugo Boss is investing almost 100 million euros in the 23,400m2 facility, which is located just south of Stuttgart, close to the city's airport. The OSR Shuttle solution will provide Hugo Boss with the flexibility required to react to future market changes and the various demands of its sales channels both quickly and efficiently. In particular, features such as the ability to store full cases directly, the immediate availability of items after goods-in and high throughput have made KNAPP's OSR Shuttle system the optimum solution.
