Fleet management launch
12 December 2012
Greater security and efficiency are said to be the key benefits available to end users.
Transmon Engineering has launched iTEch Fleet, a forklift fleet management system that helps site managers monitor and control truck usage and heightens security.
"The new iTEch Fleet helps companies achieve complete visibility of their entire forklift operation through one secure portal," says Paul Sercombe of Transmon Engineering. "iTEch Fleet not only does this remotely, it can automatically immobilise a truck when it leaves a designated area."
Transmon has introduced remote immobilisation to help safeguard high value mobile equipment against prohibited removal from a site. The forklift fleet management system also has a truck locator feature that can help managers of larger fleets locate equipment and drivers on large or multiple sites.
Fitted to any MHE fleet, iTEch Fleet includes remote truck run hour collection service, and truck contractual performance monitoring to ensure accurate truck usage invoicing. It can help plan truck service schedules, helps avoid excessive truck usage costs and provides traceability through driver accountability leading to reduced truck damage.
The data can be downloaded via SIM card or data link conversion, with a monthly data transfer upload. Transmon Engineering will be exhibiting iTEch for the first time at IMHX.
