FLTA up for trade association awards

Trade Association Forum recognises FLTA Awards for Excellence and the National Fork Truck Safety Conference.
The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has been named as a Finalist in two categories in the prestigious Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards 2015.
The honours recognise the FLTA’s outstanding work in delivering two industry-leading events: the FLTA Awards for Excellence and the National Fork Truck Safety Conference.
Handling & Storage Solutions is proud to be the media partner for the FLTA Awards.
The FLTA’s annual Awards was recognised in the Event of the Year category for its record-breaking 21st outing – held in February 2015 at the Telford International Centre. As well as generating the most nominations and largest public vote to date, the event’s winners were revealed in front of its biggest audience ever.
Alongside this, the FLTA National Fork Truck Safety Conference, which broke attendance records, was named a Finalist in the Conference of the Year category, in recognition of its exceptional peer-to-peer learning programme. The high-calibre event featured case studies from managers and supervisors who successfully improved their organisations’ safety records.
"Ahead of anything else,” says FLTA Chief Executive Peter Harvey, "our primary objective has been and remains to be raising industry standards for the good of the 1,000,000 people in the UK whose work involves fork lift trucks.
"Events like these allow us to do just that. While the Safety Conference lets us inform and motivate those responsible for making sites safer, our Awards allows us to recognise those pioneers raising standards across the industry.
"So we are always looking for ways to improve our events to ensure they are truly engaging and inspirational.”
The winners of the TAF 2015 Best Practice Awards will be announced on 9th July 2015 in London. To find out more about the event, visit www.taforum.org/best-practice-awards-2015.
