A machine that bales waste paper
is saving a national company over
£500 a month as well as reducing
the amount it sends to
landfill.
Everbuild - an independent manufacturer of sealants, adhesives, fillers and building chemicals, produces 13 tonnes of waste a month from the packaging of its raw materials.
Until it installed a Greenbank paper baler, all of this was going to landfill and costing the Leeds-based company hundreds of pounds in skip emptying costs. Now, the waste is turned into 26 huge bales a month which are then sent for recycling.
Everbuild's environmental/health and safety manager Dave Whitford said they were so pleased with the baler that they have ordered a second. "We have dealt with Greenbank in the past and knew that their products were good and their service efficient," says Whitford.
