A machine that bales waste paper
is saving a national company
over £500 a month as well
as reducing the amount it
sends to landfill.
Independent manufacturer of sealants, adhesives, fillers and building chemicals, Everbuild produces 13t of waste a month from the packaging of its raw materials.
And until it installed a Greenbanks paper baler, all of this was going to landfill and costing the Leeds-based company hundreds of pounds in skip emptying costs.
Now, the waste is turned into 26 huge bales a month which are then sent for recycling.
Everbuild's environmental health and safety manager Dave Whitford said they were so pleased with the economic and environmental effects of the baler that they have ordered a second one.
