Waste costs reduced by compactors

Leading carpet manufacturer, burmatex - a brand of Airea, has revised its recycling system to include two new Greenbank compactors, resulting in waste disposal costs reductions of up to 40%, as well as lower carbon emissions.

"The compactors ensure that we always have a full skip before it is emptied. This reduces the number of collections required, meaning a reduction in carbon emissions and company spending," says purchasing manager, Lorna Hobbs.

"Having a compactor and a covered skip also ensures that there is no danger of any waste escaping, which also ensures our site is clean and tidy."
